Sin is transgression of the Torah. Sin is wrong because it is disobedience to the Sovereign of the universe. It is in effect, theft, using a universe that belongs to YHWH and not to ourselves — to our benefit without the consent of the owner. That is why the first “sin” was a theft, i.e. stealing the one thing which had not been given to man, the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Click Website
