Torah 2 The Nations

We had Phil join us for Torah Teachers’ Round Table yesterday, now let’s get to know him! Phil was raised a preacher’s kid in the Pentecostal Church of God and later became a pastor himself. But, when confronted with the truth that what he had been taught was incomplete and maybe not true, he had to make a decision that many make but in the wrong direction. In Phil’s case though, he decided to follow scripture rather than his traditional Christian teaching and now leads a congregation in Statesville, NC that teaches and follow Y’shua and the Torah. Local Salem, Oregon area Pastor “Apostle” Paul D. Young must have been threatened by the growth of the “Hebrew Roots” understanding of Scripture in his fellowship, because he felt it necessary to create a 6-week series against what he considers to be a grievous set of errors.  The Morning Show Crew, plus Jeff Gilbert has begun to show how to take apart each argument you might face from our New Testament oriented brothers who refuse to read Scripture in context.  We only go through 3 minutes of his CD on the air but are posting CD 1 of 6 to the podcast so you can help develop the apologetics all of us need to know for the good of our brethren who are still burdened by the fear of our Father’s loving instructions – the Torah.  Jeff Gilbert continues his teaching from Romans, starting in Chapter 3 – going right along with the 1st hour topic.

It was an eventful day as Mondays always are when the listeners get to have the Hebrew Nation Morning Show all to themselves (no guests).  Topics discussed by numerous callers included True Names of our God and His Messiah, is Jesus the same person as Y’shua, how did the people deal with friends and relatives re: Christmas, loving those who are still in the “Church,” learning to exhibit that it is those who keep Torah who have love and joy, etc., etc., etc.  Mondays are fun days and it’s always a wide open shootout – but nobody has to get hurt, because the mature among us have learned to accomplish the same points, but with kindness and understanding.

Jim Staley joined the Morning Show crew and had a less urgent take on the upcoming economic disaster, instead focusing on the hope that Abba will warn and take care of His people.  Don brought up that maybe the rising oil prices, irregular weather patterns and natural events, increasing government control, warnings on food shortages and massive inflation could be that warning, if we are listening.  Jim finishes segment 1 with the Shemot/Exodus Torah portion.  In hour 2 a discussion of the “Sacred Names” comes up, as well as many riveting topics based on some of the first Torah Thoughts for Today by Bill Sanford.  Finally, the YouTube video, “Drive By Church” was the topic of the final segment.  Also, listeners were reminded to email Radio@t2tn.com in order to register for the drawing of the GOLD COIN giveaway.

Don surprised the new group of teachers by starting out with a couple of unexpected questions. One dealt with whether the public school system should celebrate or honor religious holidays by taking the day off, and the second was a listener question regarding travel on Shabbat/Sabbath.

The discussions were lively and there was a lot of fun as veteran Hezekiyah Haas was joined by former host Kalev Kunkle, who has now started a new gathering under the umbrella of T2TN Ministries, but is not yet named. For those of you in the Salem area, it meets at 1:00 p.m. on Shabbat. Jeff Gilbert was caught in the SKYPE crash and not able to participate. Our new member was Brittney Scott from Manna from Heaven Ministries in Mississippi – she was explosive, incredible and gifted in her wisdom from YHVH.  Nice job, team.  The special weekly guest was Dr. Rev. (hehe) Rick Chesher, pastor of Cornerstone Baptist  Church in Salem, who is in the midst of bringing a Torah understanding to his entire fellowship – at least for those who have ears.  Good job Rick!  Also, out on rotation, Jonah Freeman called in to contribute.  Thanks Jonah!
